I've always loved decorating, but what I love the most-the small things-the details that give a room its personality.  A perfectly rumpled throw, a little pumpkin on a shelf, a candle that smells like cedar or citrus, or a quirky birdhouse that just makes you smile. Over time, I realized I loved the small doable ways that make a home feel warm and inviting.

I live in a "normal" home.  No dramatic ceilings, no historic charm. But-here is what I have learned.  You don't need to renovate an entire room to change how it feels. Sometimes it is as simple as adding a tray, or a mason jar.

  Or one more pillow (yes always one more pillow).
